Reconnect WhatsApp

Restore a WhatsApp number that shows Reconnect needed.

When Meta stops accepting Prativani’s access to a number, the number shows Reconnect needed. Messages to it don’t reach your inbox until you reconnect. This usually happens after a password change or a removed permission in Meta.

Before you start

Every planNeeds: WhatsApp: Write

  1. Go to SettingsChannelsWhatsApp.

  2. Click Connect WhatsApp.

  3. In Meta’s window, choose the same business, WhatsApp Business account and number as before.

    You should see the number back in the list without Reconnect needed.

The number keeps its conversations and its settings, such as Answered by.

Reconnecting turns on every number you choose in Meta’s window, including any you had paused. Pause them again afterwards if you need to.
