Visitors can call you straight from the web messenger on your website, using their microphone. You don’t need a phone number or any other account.

Before you start

Every planNeeds: AI agent routing: Write

In the chat window, the visitor clicks Start voice call and allows their browser to use the microphone. The button appears in browsers that support calls, once the chat has connected.

Calls that no AI agent answers ring your available teammates in their browser, one at a time. See Answer and make calls.

To make sure your team answers every call, go to SettingsChannelsWeb Messenger, open the Voice tab, and set Answered by to No AI — straight to a human.

  1. Go to AI Agents and open the AI agent.

  2. On its Deploy tab, under Voice, turn on Enable AI voice calls.

  3. Choose the Voice it speaks in. You can also type a Greeting message, the first thing callers hear.

  4. Click Save changes.

  5. Go to SettingsChannelsWeb Messenger and open the Voice tab.

  6. On the Answered by card, choose this AI agent, or leave Organization default if it’s your default AI agent. See Choose which AI agent answers each channel.

You should see the AI agent’s name on the card, as the one who answers new voice calls.

To record calls, see Call recordings.

Calls answered by an AI agent use wallet credit for every minute. See What uses credits.
