Connect Instagram

Connect an Instagram account and its direct messages arrive in your inbox. Your replies go back out from the same account.

Before you start

Every planNeeds: Instagram: Write

• An Instagram professional account: a business or creator account. A personal account can’t be connected.
• You can sign in to that account. You don’t need a Facebook Page.
• Your browser allows pop-ups from Prativani.

Connect an account

1. Go to Settings›Channels›Instagram.

2. Click Connect Instagram. An Instagram window opens.

3. Sign in with the professional account customers message, and allow the access Instagram asks for.

   You should see

   “Instagram account connected successfully.” and the account in the list, as Default sender.

To connect another account, click Connect Instagram again and sign in with that account. Each account is listed separately, and replies always go out from the account the customer wrote to.

What happens next

• Choose which AI agent answers Instagram messages.
• You can reply to Instagram messages with text. Customers can send you photos, videos and files.
• You can reply within 24 hours of the customer’s last message. After that, the customer must write first.

Common problems

”Instagram didn’t share a professional account with us”

The account you signed in with is a personal account. Switch it to a business or creator account in the Instagram app, then click Connect Instagram again.

The account shows Reconnect needed

Instagram stopped accepting Prativani’s access. This happens when a permission is removed, or when the account isn’t used in Prativani for 60 days. Click Connect Instagram and sign in with the same account. Its conversations stay as they were.

”That number, page or account is already connected to another workspace”

An account can belong to one workspace at a time. Disconnect it in the other workspace first.

Nothing happens when I click Connect Instagram

Your browser may have blocked the pop-up. Allow pop-ups for Prativani and try again.
