Connect WhatsApp

Bring your WhatsApp Business number into Prativani by signing in with Meta.

2 min read

Connect a WhatsApp number and the messages customers send to it arrive in your inbox. Your replies go back out from the same number.

Before you start

Every planNeeds: WhatsApp: Write
  • A Facebook account that can manage your business in Meta, or permission to create one during setup.
  • The phone number for your business, able to receive Meta’s verification code by text or call.
  • Your browser allows pop-ups from Prativani.
  1. Go to SettingsChannelsWhatsApp.

  2. Click Connect WhatsApp. A Meta window opens.

  3. Follow Meta’s steps: choose or create your business, choose or create a WhatsApp Business account, then add and verify your phone number.

  4. When Meta’s window closes, wait for the page to reload.

    You should see

“WhatsApp connected successfully.” and your number in the list. Your first number is the Default sender.

  5. Add a payment method for your business in Meta’s WhatsApp Manager. Prativani reminds you of this right after you connect. Until Meta has one on file, messages that Meta charges for, such as templates, fail to send.

To add another number, click Connect WhatsApp again. Each number is listed separately, and replies always go out from the number the customer wrote to.

Meta charges your business directly for some WhatsApp messages, such as templates. See WhatsApp pricing on Meta’s site. Sending a template from Prativani also uses wallet credit. See What uses credits.

”Meta didn’t share a phone number with us”

The Meta window closed before a number was added. Click Connect WhatsApp again and finish adding your number.

”That number, page or account is already connected to another workspace”

A number can belong to one workspace at a time. Disconnect it in the other workspace first.

The number shows Reconnect needed
